Bentley W12 (and Audi and VW) engine production centres on Crewe
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The VW Group W12 engine will now only be made by Bentley in Crewe It’s probably not something you’ve paused to think about much, but if you did you’d assume that the Bentley W12 engine – fitted to the Flying Spur and Continental GT as well as the Audi A8 and VW Phaeton – was made only in Crewe. CAR Online has tested the SST system in the new Evo X and been impressed by the speed and quality of the gearchange.
Bentley EXP 9 F SUV at 2012 Geneva motor show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012This, believe it or not, is Bentley’s new SUV. But the Bentley EXP 9 F shouldn’t remain a concept for long: it’s going into customer clinics across the world just as soon as the Geneva motor show is finished, and Bentley chairman and chief executive Dr Wolfgang Dürheimer has told CAR he plans to build this car (or rather, this Range Rover-sized 4x4).
