Walt Arfons: 1916-2013

No one seemed to know why the two brothers stopped talking, but their resulting rivalry led to some of the fastest cars ever built, two of which went more than 600 mph. Walt Arfons battled his half-brother Art on the Bonneville Salt Flats and at dragstrips across the country, but the pair rarely spoke over the course of one of the longest and most intense motorsport rivalries ever. Walt and Art started out working together, building a three-wheeled dragster in their native rural Ohio in 1952.

Dubbed for the road

The Crackdown 2 video game doesn't go on sale until July 6, but the sweepstakes to win the “Crackdown Cruiser” has already begun. Based on the 2011 Dub Edition Ford Mustang V6, the customized car features Crackdown 2 graphics and 20-inch wheels fitted with Pirelli Zero Nero tires. Art Center Winter Degree Show 2010

The 2010 Art Center Winter Show that took place late last month was the stage for many talented graduates. Sixteen students presented their work at the show, each with quality and finish that was extremely impressive. So too was each student's commitment to the design process and their own inspiration.
