This is a completely rebuilt 787 Rotax engine from a 1999 Sea-doo SPX. It is also known as the 800 motor. It will work in any Sea-doo watercraft or jet boat that uses this engine type. It engine will not work in the RFI or fuel injected applications. The engine has been rebuilt with all NEW parts. Starting with the cylinders, they have been bored oversize with new pistons and rings installed in them. The crankshaft was replaced with a NEW Hot Rods crankshaft assembly, not a rebuilt like so many use. The balance shaft had new seals and bearings installed on it, then the engine was assembled with all new seals, bearings, and gaskets. It also has the rotary valve and cover installed on it so you won't have to worry about proper valve timing. The engine was painted the factory silver color upon completion. The older versions of this motor were painted white, and some newer ones black and grey. Either way they were painted they are all the same engine. I do have this available in the white color also if you have an older unit and want to have a color matching engine. This engine comes with the necessary gaskets to install it into your ski, as well as a new set of spark plugs. It will be shipped thru UPS and insured for the full bid amount.

This auction works on an exchange basis. I do require that you send your old engine back to me as a core. With that said, I will be adding a core deposit to the final auction price. It will be $550.00. This money will be refunded to you after I receive and inspect your old engine. Any damage to the engine out of the norm will have the cost to repair/replace the damaged parts deducted from the deposit. I know the crank will be bad, and the pistons probably junk, this is normal. Holes or cracks in the cases/cylinders/head, cylinders bored to 1m.m. oversize or more, broken bolts, missing parts, things like this are not normal! If you have any questions on this feel free to e-mail me. I will not accept an SBT rebuilt engine as a core! And you must return the same engine type that you receive. I also ask that you return the core in a timely manor. You are welcome to send me your old engine first to avoid the deposit if you wish. Thanks....

Why Steve McQueen canceled a $3 million life insurance policy

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

Spurred by the story of our ride in Steve McQueen's Jaguar XKSS, Richard Haight felt inclined to chime in with the fact that he not only raced motorcycles with (and against) McQueen, but knew him all the way until the King of Cool's death. Haight raced motorcycles on and off for 50 years. McQueen would come and race at the local American Motorcycle Association District 37, usually entering under assumed names like "Harvey Mushman" to enjoy some semblance of normality.

BMW supercars

By Tim Pollard 29 July 2008 09:00 For a company that calls itself a purveyor of 'ultimate driving machines', it hasn't much form in the supercar arena. However, its one real entry is one hell of an effort. The '70s M1 was a mid-engined brute that mixed a mid-engine straight six with scintillating looks and a razor-sharp drive.
