Up for bid is this professionally rebuilt original 1967-69 Ford truck speedometer head. This unit was part of the ROS inventory of a long established Chicago speedometer shop. Ford part number is C7TZ-17255 S. Dial plate also has the Ford numbers C8TF-17255 for identification. This speedometer fits a range of 1967 to 1972 Ford truck instrument panels, mostly the base & commercial models. From what I have found out this fits the standard base version F Series trucks and others, so study the pictures and part numbers. The lower right of the dial plate has the Ford # C8TF17255 to aid in identification. This ROS unit has been fully inspected and freshly serviced and is in perfect working order. Speedometer has been run on a calibration bench and has been calibrated for spot on accuracy and functions as new. The cosmetics are unrestored with original dial plate and only the pointer refinished. The original dial plate when sitting on my bench under light has the typical long storage and out of box handling minor scratches / shelf wear but is I feel still presentable with decent "driver" quality cosmetics. Once in the dash panel it will look fine unless you are a show fanatic. This rebuilt speedometer as far as function goes is better than NOS because it has been freshly serviced, tested & calibrated. (Many unserviced NOS units lock up just driving around the block!) This speedometer is guaranteed to work as new. USPS worldwide shipping.

Thanks and happy bidding!

Government CO2 cock-up

Sun, 03 Jun 2007

By Richard Yarrow Motoring Issues 03 June 2007 02:32 Britain’s new eco-motoring scheme postponed Plans to help Britain’s drivers choose the greenest car for their budget have been thrown into chaos, CAR Online can reveal. The launch of a new Government website for motorists – called www.actonco2.co.uk – has been cancelled just 16 hours before it was to go live. Amazingly, the Department for Transport (DfT) has admitted the eleventh hour delay was because it realised the CO2 data to published wasn’t accurate.
