Up for sale is a professionally rebuilt pair of perfect date matched #186 Small Block Chevy 2.02 double hump cylinder heads. Casting number is 3927186. The heads are dated B179 & B199 (February 17, 1969 & February 19, 1969). The heads have 64cc combustion chambers with new 2.02 stainless intake and new 1.60 stainless exhaust valves. The 186 is one of the best closed chamber cylinder heads of the late 60’s early 70’s. The 186 heads are very rare as they are some of the last closed chamber heads with the highly sought after accessory holes on the ends. Heads have been hot tanked, shot blasted, & magnafluxed. These heads have been completely rebuilt with 8 new hard exhaust seats for unleaded fuel, 16 new thick wall bronze valve guides, a 3 angle valve job, 8 new 1 piece stainless intake valves, 8 new 1 piece stainless exhaust valves, & 16 new performance chrome silicon valve springs good for up to .550” valve lift (closed pressure is 110# at 1.800”, open pressure is 325# at 1.200”). The heads have also been resurfaced .007” for a perfect head gasket seal. These heads are also machined for screw in studs with guide plates (not included in auction). Heads are then thoroughly washed and fully assembled with 16 new premium Teflon valve stem seals and 32 new heavy-duty keepers. All valves and valve seats have been checked for a perfect compression seal. There is no porting or polishing on any intake port, exhaust port, or any combustion chamber. All threaded bolt holes are good (one head has a Heli-Coil thread repar done on an intake bolt hole). The heads come as pictured and are ready to install. The heads pictured are the actual heads you are bidding on and will receive. The double hump heads were factory installed on all High Performance Fuel Injected and carbureted Chevrolet vehicles including Corvette, Camaro RS SS & Z-28, Chevelle Malibu, Chevy II Nova, Bel Air, & Impala. These heads will also interchange with other camel hump heads with casting numbers 461, 461X, 462, 291, 292, 186, 041, & 492. These heads will fit all 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, & 400 small block Chevy engines from 1955 to 1986 with no modifications (steam holes will need to be drilled for a 400) and 1987-1999 with correct intake manifold (except 1992 & up LT-1 reverse flow). I tried to list everything about these heads but please ask any/all questions before buying. Payment must be received within 3 days or item will be re-listed unless other arraignments have been made in advance. Shipping, handling, & insurance is fixed at $90.00 for both heads shipped to the continental US only. Alaska, Hawaii, and everywhere else will be higher. All international bidders please multiply the shipping calculator by 2 for two boxes. If you are outside the continental US & purchase the heads please do not pay until an adjusted invoice is sent to you with the added shipping costs. Thanks for looking.

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

The new A-Class caught on video on Lanzarote The 2012 Mercedes A-Class will launch at Geneva next month, and we have the first undisguised video and photo of the new A-Class. Mercedes-Benz has already confirmed that the new 2012 Mercedes A-Class will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and that it’s the five-door A-Class that will hit the road first. Which means Mercedes are out shooting footage for the launch of the A-Class, and a sharp-eyed cyclist has managed to grab a brief bit of footage of the new A-Class on the road to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote as Mercedes went about their work.

Audi A3 Cabriolet 1.2 TFSI hits UK

Fri, 26 Mar 2010

The Audi A3 1.2 TFSI Cabriolet arrives in the UK The Frankfurt Motor Show last year was – as is often the case these days – something of a ‘Green-fest’. We had BMW’s Vision Concept and the first outing for an Audi e-tron (is that really only six months ago?), but we also had the introduction of the smallest engine Audi have ever stuck in a car – the 1.2 TFSI. It may be the smallest engine, but it’s not the least powerful thanks to the turbo.

Mon, 16 May 2011

The few times a year that Aston Martin graces AutoWeek with a press car, our joy is short-lived. There's never enough seat time to go around. Luckily, we can all dream together with the new Aston Martin configurator at the company's Web site, www.astonmartin.com.
