  • 1939-48 Ford Passenger with a 100 hp Flathead V8 engine.
  • 1939-47 Ford Pickup and Truck with a 100 hp Flathead V8 engine.
  • 1939-48 Mercury with a 100 hp Flathead V8 engine. 

Specifics:

  • Rebuilder:  H. W. Campbell Co., Forney, Texas... A long time Texas Engine Rebuilding Company.  
  • FoMoCo Part Numbers: 99A-6200 & 29A-6200. 
  • Hollander Crossover Number: 389. 

Details:

  • One (1) Only... An Individual NORS Rebuilt Connecting Rod.
  • Rod Length: 7.00", measured center to center. 
  • Small End:  A new piston pin bushing has been installed and drilled for piston pin oiling... It measures .746" I.D. and it may need to be honed to fit a piston pin. 
  • Big End:  It measures 2.36" I.D. and it has a smooth bore for use with "full-floating" rod bearings.  
  • This Connecting Rod is in nice condition, with no apparent damage.

Jaguar F-Type - to be built at an expanded Castle Bromwich Jaguar Land Rover are planning to invest £200 million expanding their Castle Bromwich plant to launch production of the new Jaguar F-Type. Jaguar Land Rover has revived sales across both the Jaguar and Land Rover ranges, but it’s Land Rover that’s driving sales – particularly with the new Evoque. JLR are seeking to emulate the enormous success the Evoque is enjoying at Land Rover by launching the new F-Type at Jaguar, and are planning to invest £200 million expanding the Castle Bromwich plant to make sure the Jaguar F-Type doesn’t suffer production problems.

Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans

Porsche is returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next weekend, and reigning champ Audi figured it would be nice to send a little welcoming committee to Stuttgart, Germany. The committee consisted of one driver in an R18 e-tron quattro LMP1 car. Keen eyes will notice the race car passing a red tractor, also a Porsche design.

Brazilian brand Troller has been channeling the Jeep Wrangler's utilitarian aesthetic since the mid-1990s, first with its Rf Sport model, and then, in 2001, with its T4 4x4. Ford of Brazil purchased Troller in 2007, and since then, its domestic design team has been working on a new generation T4 model that taps into the market's growing appetite for SUVs. It showed a concept, called the TR-X, at last year's Sao Paulo show, and has now unveiled a car that closer to the production model expected later this year.
