Up for sale is a professionally rebuilt pair of Small Block Chevy 2.02 cylinder heads. The casting number is 333882.  The heads are dated D95 & H1575 (April 9, 1975 & August 15, 1975). Heads have 76cc combustion chambers with 8 new 2.02 stainless intake and 8 new 1.60 stainless exhaust valves. The 882 is one of the best open chamber cylinder heads of the 1970’s. Heads have been hot tanked, shot blasted, and magnafluxed. These heads have been completely rebuilt with 8 new hard exhaust seats for unleaded fuel, 16 new thick wall bronze valve guides, a 3 angle valve job, 8 new one piece stainless intake valves, 8 new one piece stainless exhaust valves, & 16 new performance chrome silicon valve springs good for up to .550” valve lift (closed pressure is 110# at 1.800”, open pressure is 325# at 1.200”). The heads have also been resurfaced .009” for a perfect head gasket seal. These heads are also machined for screw in studs with guide plates (studs & guide plates not included in sale). Heads are then thoroughly washed and fully assembled with 32 new heavy-duty valve keepers & 16 new premium positive Teflon valve stem seals. These heads have never had any porting or polishing work done to them on any intake port, exhaust port, or combustion chamber.  All valves and valve seats have been checked for a perfect compression seal. All threaded bolt holes are good (one Heli-Coil thread repair has been done on one exhaust manifold bolt hole). These heads are ready to install.  The heads pictured are the actual heads you will receive. These heads were factory installed on all High Performance Chevrolet vehicles including Corvette, Camaro RS SS & Z-28, Chevelle Malibu, Chevy II Nova, Bel Air, Impala, and trucks. These heads will interchange with casting number 487, 487X, 993, 882, 624, 441 and many others. These heads will also interchange with double hump heads with casting numbers 370, 461, 461X, 462, 291, 292, 186, 041, & 492. If you use these heads in place of a camel hump head it will lower the compression due to these have a larger combustion chamber. These heads will fit all 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, & 400 small block Chevy engines from 1955 to 1986 with no modifications (steam holes will need to be drilled for a 400) and 1987-1999 with correct gen 1 intake manifold (except 1992 & up LT-1 reverse flow). I tried to list everything about these heads but please ask any/all questions before buying. Payment must be received within 3 days or item will be re-listed unless other arraignments have been made in advance. Shipping, handling, & insurance is fixed at $90.00 for both heads shipped to the continental US only. Alaska, Hawaii, and everywhere else will be higher. All international bidders please multiply the shipping calculator by 2 for two boxes. If you are outside the continental US & purchase the heads please do not pay until an adjusted invoice is sent to you with the added shipping costs. Thanks for looking.

Stirling Moss adds an Aston Martin Cygnet to his wife's garage

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

For those of you who thought the tiny Aston Martin Cygnet--a reworked Toyota iQ city car--was blasphemous for the company, Sir Stirling Moss disagrees. He surprised his wife with one at the Royal Automobile Club in London on Monday. The Mosses had planned a private dinner on the eve of Lady Moss's birthday at the century-old club.

Chrome, Horsepower and Hemis: Cadillac Escalade tops most ripped-off list

Tue, 03 Aug 2010

Just when it seems as if all we are hearing about are Chevrolet Volts and Nissan Leafs (Leaves?), turns out thieves still love their performance cars and monstrous SUVs and trucks. The Cadillac Escalade remains the most stolen car in the United States, according to the Highway Loss Data Institute. The 'Sclade was followed by the Ford F250 pickup, the Infiniti G37, the Hemi Dodge Charger (not the V6 though!) and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The great Tesla bubble of 2013

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

Do I go too far out on a limb to suggest Tesla is the modern-day version of the Great Tulip Bubble of March 1637? Remember, that was when speculators drove prices of just-introduced tulip bulbs to astronomical heights. Some single bulbs cost more than 10 times an average working man's salary.
