Versions such as the 1:33, the Voodoo Viper, the ACR-X and dealer-exclusive models all trickled out of Chrysler's Conner Avenue assembly plant in Detroit. Arguably, the track-only ACR-X is the most extreme iteration, but hidden within the group of dealer-exclusive models is another noteworthy special model: the SRT10 Convertible ACR built specifically for Woodhouse Dodge in Blair, Neb.
Self-driving Tesla could hit roads within three years
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Electric car manufacturer Tesla has said that self-driving cars could be a reality within the next three years, with the firm targeting a computer-guided version of its Model S saloon. Tesla chief executive officer Elon Musk said in an interview with the Financial Times that the autonomous driving technology would act like “an autopilot” that could be switched on and off like an aeroplane’s guidance system. Tue, 16 Feb 2010The Porsche Panamera V6 will debut in April at the Beijing Motor Show A year on from the launch of the Porsche Panamera in China last year, Porsche has revealed that the Porsche Panamera V6 will join the Panamera lineup and – in yet another sign of the importance of the Chinese market – will be revealed at the Beijing Motor Show in April. The Panamera V6 comes with either rear wheel drive – the Porsche Panamera – or 4WD – the Porsche Panamera 4 – and gets a new 3.6 litre V6 petrol lump producing 300bhp and 295lb/ft of torque. Fitted with Porsche’s PDK ‘box both models get stop/start to trim emissions and improve economy.
