Red Dragon Engine Preheater, manufactured by Flame Engineering, Inc. Not marked with the model number, but a visual comparison to the items in the brochure (included) indicates this is Model LT 2-12 MH-300. This unit is equipped with a Piezo electronic igniter, automatic fuel shutoff valve (which activates if the flame goes out), and a UL approved regulator. Also included is a 10 foot power cord with alligator clips to attach to a 12 volt DC battery, and a 5 foot UL approved fuel hose with excess flow P.O.L. This also has a high limit heat sensor, a safety feature which shuts off fuel to the burner if the preheater surface temperature reaches unsafe levels. This heater operates using Propane, and is rated at 49,000 BTU per hour. While this item is pre-owned, it appears to have never been used. This is being sold "as is". Lexus GS Coupe planned for 2013 We do have a habit of complaining that Lexus cars have a paucity of appeal in the driving and styling departments, but maybe plans for a new Lexus GS Coupe will change our minds. It looks as though Lexus are looking seriously at adding coupes in to their range, at least according to Lexus Product Planning Manager Ben J. Mitchell, who confessed as much in conversation with Inside Line.

Spy Shots: Chevy SS caught testing, rendered

Way back in June, Autoweek published a speculative rendering of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The Zeta-platform, rear-wheel-drive, V8-powered follow-up to the late Pontiac G8 was recently spotted testing by the spy photographers at Chris Doane Automotive. Doane was so inspired by General Motors' nascent performance sedan that he commissioned his own Chevy SS rendering.

Pick-ups do poorly in latest Euro NCAP tests

Only three picks-ups were tested, but they achieved some appalling results, with the Nissan Navara registering just one star for adult crash protection. Pick-up registrations increased by 7.2 percent in Europe last year and are increasingly being used as family transport.
