Along with the Kangoo ZE, it will be one of Renault’s first electric vehicles which go on sale in 2011. It does – there’s energy-saving LED lights, cameras to replace the rear-view mirrors, solar cells on the roof, dash and parcel shelf, and 21-inch wheels.

There is anticipation in the air, unlike other rallies I've attended, as this one has a significant main prize: a 2011 Mopar Charger will be given to one lucky contestant on the stage at the Specialty Equipment Market Association convention.

Yes, March is a bit late for a Christmas Special, but it’s becoming the Top Gear norm. What isn’t normal is the fact that there are no cars for Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May to drive, instead they’re all in beaten up trucks bought sight unseen from the internet for a road trip across Burma to the River Kwai.
