Instructions for Replacement:
1. Remove Your Current Emblem
Now removing it is the tricky part, the badges have a pretty strong adhesive on the back making them a pain. Do not use a screwdriver or anything similar. I first read about using fishing line hooked behind the badge and gently easing it off, but the fishing line just snapped when I tried this.
2. Optional ways to remove it
Instead I used a long thin tie wrap, gently ease it behind the top half of the badge so you have an equal piece each side. I know the picture shows me using one hand but that’s because the other was taking the photo lol. Put a hand on each half of the tye and gently pull towards you easing it off, its going to be a fighter but it will come...... Another way to do it is to pour very hot water over the badge. Keep pouring the water over the badge and it will melt the glue..
3. Clean Off Your Hood
So your going to need to clean it off, I used a heavy-duty cleaner, a cloth and a plastic card (like a credit card etc.) Read labels on cleaners to check you won’t harm your paint. Now you don’t want to go crazy just take your time and it will come off, you don’t want to damage your paint.....
4. Attach New Emblem
All cleaned and ready for the new badge.......... Now attach the badge to the bonnet/trunk, line the locators on the back of the badge up with the holes on the bonnet and press on lightly making sure its straight, once happy give it a firm final press. Job done!

New Range Rover gets Bridge of Weir Leather

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

The new Range Rover (2013) is getting its sumptuous leather interior courtesy of Bridge of Weir Low Carbon Leathers Land Rover’s supplier of choice for the Range Rover’s leather is Bridge of Weir Leather Company, part of the Scottish Leather Group and a privately owned Scottish Company that just happens to be the UK’s only automotive leather manufacturer (although they may need to rephrase that in a couple of years if Alex Salmond gets his way). The big shout is that Bridge of Weir’s leathers are low carbon, but what’s more interesting than the trendy (and, some would say, pointless) shout out is just how efficient Bridge of Weir are. The Bridge of Weir factory has its own Thermal Energy Plant which provides 70 per cent of its needs (and will provide it all by 2015) and all the waste products are recycled instead of being discarded.
