  • Fully-synthetic formulas created from polyol ester base stocks, offer excellent lubrication under extreme conditions
  • High viscosity-index (VI) to provide relatively constant viscosity and film thickness with varying temperature change
  • Ester base stocks and friction modifiers provide additional slipperiness to lower operating temperatures by reducing the sliding friction in hypoid gears
  • Superior shear stability and reduced oxidation compared to other synthetics and conventional gear oils
  • Exceed API GL-5 specifications
  • Engineered to provide the highest degree of protection and improvement of differential efficiency for better mileage, longer drain intervals, and less wear
  • Recommended for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E, and SAE J2360
  • Contains additional friction modifiers for suitablity with clutch-type limited slip differentials - for most LSDs, no additional friction modifiers are required
  • This product is not designed for use in manual transmission or transaxles with synchronizers, as its slipperiness may lead to shifting problems
  • Popular in stock car racing differentials and transmissions

Porsche 918 Spyder crashes in Germany

    Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Porsche is in hot water with German authorities following an accident involving a prototype version of the gasoline-electric hybrid-powered 918 Spyder on a public road last month, according to reports in the German media. The accident, which took place between the towns of Bietigheim-Bissingen and Ludwigsburg (close to Porsche's research-and-development center), saw the 875-hp 918 Spyder spin out of control and collide with a guard rail. Parts of the new $845,000 Porsche flagship are said to have broken loose in the collision before being collected by an oncoming car.

And that’s exactly what the organisers of the Dubai International Motor Show – which starts tomorrow – are claiming on their Facebook page, together with a photo (above) which seems to show a four-door GT 86.

Sky takes Mazda powertrains to the next level

    Mon, 30 Aug 2010

Mazda's next-generation of powertrains, called Sky, will feature a variety of new technologies that company engineers say improve fuel efficiency by 20 percent. The Sky engines--Sky-G for the gasoline version, Sky-D for diesel--coupled with a Sky-Drive automatic transmission or a six-speed manual, were offered for test drives during a technology day in Berlin. The Sky-G engine we drove was a 2.0-liter inline-four that made 160 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque.
