Audi Q7 – new engines and 8 speed ‘box for 2010
Thu, 08 Apr 2010The Audi Q7 gets new engines for 2010 Busy little bunnies at Audi at the moment. We had the 2010 Audi TT facelift story earlier this morning and now comes new that the other end of the Audi scale – the Audi Q7 – is up for a nip and tuck for 2010 as well. Renault Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy – heading For Goodwood FoS 2014
Wed, 14 May 2014Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy (pictured) aiming for a Nurburgring record Renault teased the Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy on social media last month, but now it’s arrived – and it’s going to have a busy summer. Apart from a debut at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed next month, Renault are planning to take the 275 Trophy to the Nurburgring to try and grab back the lap record for a production front wheel drive car from the SEAT Leon Cupra 280. With that in mind, Renault has given the 2.0 litre Turbo in the Megane Renaultsport 275 Trophy a bit of a tweak to yield 271bhp hoping that will be enough to beat the current 7:58.4s record.
Court order BANS publication of VW’s Luxury car security codes
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Bentley is just one of VW’s marques whose security has been compromised There have been plenty of stories around in recent years of car makers’ security systems being easily hacked by spotty boys with a laptop, and now a scientist at Birmingham University has cracked VW’s Megamos Crypto system that protects cars like Bentley and Porsche. Flavia Garcia has cracked the code that transmits between VW’s luxury cars – like Bentleys and Porsches – and the key fob, which potentially fatally compromises VW’s security. Garcia had planned to publish his paper on the fatal flaws in the Megamos Crypto system at the Usenix Security Symposium in Washington next month, but a judge has put the kybosh on that.
