RenaultSport Clio 200: Paris 2012
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Renault has unveiled the Clio RenaultSport 200 at the Paris Motor Show with a 1.6 litre turbo engine delivering 200bhp. The latest version of the Clio RS forgoes its naturally aspirated 2.0 litre engine for a turbo 1.6 litre delivering the same 200bhp but more torque – up more than 10 per cent. What dropping the 1.6 turbo has done to the Clio is make it more economical – Renault say it is 25 per cent more fuel efficient and, obviously, emissions drop comparably.

As we said back in June when we had the first details of the 2011 Mondeo, Ford has given it a few cosmetic tweaks to freshen it up and had a serious play with the oily bits. On the cosmetic front the new Mondeo gets ‘Kinetic-icized’ to keep its DNA in line with the rest of the Ford range.

The winding 5.2-mile road in Virginia City, Nev., named Highway 341 has 22 hair-raising turns, about 14 of which can literally kill you. “This place forces the intangibles to the surface,” event creator and Spectre Performance owner Amir Rosenbaum says.
