Item Description: Refurbished steering column removed from a 1965 Mercedes Benz 220Sb W111 fintail. This will fit other years and models (like 220SEb), so please confirm it will work on your particular car. This is for a car that has a FLOOR SHIFTER, and is NOT for a column shift car! Please note that thee is no hole on the side for the column shifter (a floor shifter car would not need that hole). I had purchased a rusty floor shift 220S and was going to swap the floor shift parts to my column shift car. I sold the car before I swapped the running gear, and the buyer did not want this part.

The column and all internal parts were disassembled and cleaned. Column was media blasted and painted with a semi-gloss as close to the original paint as I could find. There is a new German upper bearing. The horn button contact ring is mounted on the column. The turn signal switch is functional: locks into position and clicks back when column is rotated. The knobs has some age related cracking, please see detail pics. No major cracks or damage, just spiderwebbing type cracks. Chrome does have some pitting marks overall. Rubber cover is in decent condition wiith one noticeable crack, see detail pic. All splines for the steering wheel and where the column attaches to the lower coupling are good and not messed up. Threads for the steering wheel nut are fine, nut goes on and off by hand. Please note that I will partially disassemble and remove the turn signal switch for shipping. Pics and diagrams of how it goes back together will be provided to the purchaser. Part can also be picked up in Asheville, NC.

2012 Toyota Yaris: The UK stuff

Wed, 13 Jul 2011

The 2012 Toyota Yaris - the UK details We’ve been trailing the 2012 Toyota Yaris since the end of last year when Toyota in Japan unveiled the JDM Toyota Viz ( the Japanese version of the Yaris) and again a month ago with the unofficial Euro details. But now Toyota UK has decided – especially as the 2012 Yaris is starting to roll off production lines in Europe from today – that they may as well make the new Yaris official, give us some details and let us know exactly how much a new Yaris will now cost. The Yaris will come in four flavours of trim – T2, TR, SR and Spirit – although Toyota say that a full two thirds of sales are of the TR trim.

Honda at the London motor show 2008

Wed, 23 Jul 2008

By James Foxall Motor Shows 23 July 2008 14:35 Honda came up with a genuine global surprise at the London motor show 2008 – with the OSM concept car that previews a potenital successor to the S2000. The Open Study Model is a junior roadster that bears an uncanny resemblance to the CR-Z concept. We suspect this could translate into a convertible version of the CR-Z, itself bound for production in 2010 as a hybrid coupe.

Corvette Grand Sport (2010) first pictures By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 27 April 2009 09:14 Despite the hard times, General Motors is pushing ahead with launching new product. Its latest model is this Corvette Grand Sport, and while it won’t revive the company’s fortunes, at least it’ll help ‘Vette enthusiasts forget about the future. It’s a wide-body ‘Vette with track-tuned suspension.
