Berg examines the BMW 325is, with its new, free-revving, 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder, making BMW’s small sedan an even more desirable ride. Team Lotus buys Caterham Cars - and a Team Lotus Special Edition Seven to celebrate Team Lotus – that’s the ‘Lotus’ F1 run by Tony Fernandes, not the Hethel mob run by Dany Bahar – has bought Caterham Cars from Corven Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Which is all very apposite, what with Caterham being the spiritual home of Colin Chapman’s Lotus Seven and keeper of the Chapman ethos of lighter is better. To tie Caterham back in to the Lotus name could work wonders for sales.

UK drivers change cars as often as their mobile phone

DRIVERS in the UK change their cars as often as they swap to a new mobile phone. In the past 10 years, the average British motorist has owned four mobile phones and four cars. A study by Privilege shows that most drivers own an average of seven cars in their driving career, even though that figure includes four cars in the past decade.
