BMW 5-Series GT introduces liftback model

BMW will bring the elevated seating and packaging of an SUV to its 5-series line with the addition of a liftback model called the Grand Turismo or, simply, GT. The automaker is now revealing the production look for the vehicle, which will debut at this fall's Frankfurt motor show after having been previewed as a concept car at the Geneva show in March. It will go on sale in the United States in December, priced in the low-$70,000s range.

But it was clear that this new Hybrid Coupe from Honda was anything but a concept and was in fact a virtually production-ready car. It's a 2+2 coupé, although Munich will launch the 6-series convertible (F12) first in March 2011; the 6-series coupé (F13) based on this two-door arrives in September 2011.Which 6-series models are coming?Expect 640i and 650i petrol 6-series, while the diesel Six gets upgraded to a 640d.
