Instead, Nissan’s PR has decided to bolt the new Note to a floating platform to demonstrate the versatility and some of the technology of the new Note. Nissan went of to Eton Dornay Lake – scene of some of our remarkable rowing feats in the 2012 Olympics – with a modified Note with a sliding single stroke seat for a rower to allow the Note – with its wide opening doors – to accommodate an oar poking out of each side.

The Porsche 918 Spyder has been cropping up lately with a black and white version of the iconic Martini Racing livery as 918 Spyder Prototypes strut their stuff on Europe’s roads. But now Porsche has gone the whole hog and struck a deal with Martini to revive the Martini Racing livery used by Porsche in the 1970s for its new hybrid supercar, and buyers of the 918 Spyder will be able to option their new car up with Martini logos.

His latest venture is called Fenix Automotive Limited – and it'll launch a new sub-£75,000 V8 supercar by this time next year, it was revealed today.The new Fenix-designed sports car will be a lightweight, mid-engined V8 that'll carry on where the original Noble M12 and M400 left off. Although the new supercar hasn't been named yet, Noble promises it'll be an ideal track-day tool capable of ripping to 100mph in less than seven seconds or pootling around on a weekend road trip.Hang on.
