This is the 1950 model. I've added handrails and a working valve gear to each side. It is now in top-notch condition. I've also drilled out the markers and added a tiny red light to each. See pictures!

The 2026 shown above has been repaired and is ready for action.
  • 1.  I've replaced the heater element in the smoke unit with a wick and resistor.
  • 2.  I've polished the armature stators, removed debris between them, and added new brushes.
  • 3.  The e-unit works accurately: forward - neutral - reverse - forward.
  • 4.  There are new working red lights in the markers above the boiler. 
  • 5.  I've cleaned and wire-brushed the connecting rods and valve gear.
  • 6.  I've replaced the main motor intermediate gear that had a broken tooth.
  • 7.  Using a special dtechnique, I've removed nicks, gouges, and worn spots from the original paint.

The XKR GT3 was unveiled at the Autosport International Show and will compete in this season's FIA GT3 European Championship. It keeps the 4.2-litre supercharged V8 of the Jaguar XKR road car, but has been tuned to produce at least 475bhp in race trim.

Scion will add fourth vehicle

Scion plans to expand its model line from three vehicles to four. Also, Scion Vice President Jack Hollis said: "Within the next two years, we will have a replacement tC" coupe. The tC coupe will be nearly 7 years old when the redesign arrives, but such a long life cycle will not be the norm for Scion in the next decade.
