Ford Windstar
Speedometer Repair Service

Who are we?  We are an international speedometer sales, repair, and component distribution company founded in 2011.  We maintain the values of a small, family run business while we continue to grow on a global scale. Our direct number is 262-456-4147.

What is this service? We repair the intermittent and bouncy gauges on your 1999 - 2003 Ford Windstar gauge cluster.  The cluster may act strange and turn on and off at random times.  The gauges may also act erratic and bounce up and down.  These are the most common issues.  If you have other issues contact us FIRST prior to sending your cluster.

The auction DOES NOT include replacement needles or other mechanical parts.  Replacement needles are $10 each.  Typically the RPM needle breaks in half.  This repair DOES NOT solve anything with dashes or lines in the odometer or mileage area or the MPH needle that does not move or moves only to a certain MPH marking.  That is NOT a problem with the gauge cluster, it is an issue outside of the cluster.

Your mileage is stored in the cluster so a repair service is your best option to keep your true vehicle mileage.  If you buy a replacement cluster the mileage will be different.

What happens when you click buy it now?

1) Remove plastic dash trim in front of the cluster. Contact us if you want step by step directions.

2) Properly package your cluster by taking it to a FedEX or UPS store. You can also view our shipping recommendations here:
Tanin Auto Shipping Tutorial

Ship your item to our facility:
Tanin Auto Electronix
7012 State Road 31, STE 100
Racine, WI 53402

3) Our turnaround time is generally 1-3 business days after receipt.  Sometimes this is extended based on repair volume.  Our office number is 262-456-4147 if you have questions.

After the repair, the cluster still does not work or is broken:

This repair will not solve air bag warning lights or messages unrelated to the cluster. If you plug the cluster in and it still does not work the problem exists outside of your cluster or the cluster was replaced at some point with the the wrong part number for your vehicle. We test and take pictures of every cluster that we repair. We do not ship clusters that are not functioning as they should.

If you received a broken cluster it likely happened during shipping.  Call us so we can resolve the situation at 262-456-4147 between 9am-5pm central time.

Diagnostics, testing, and labor fee:  In the rare event that we are unable to repair your item we MAY charge a labor fee. We will ONLY do this if we spend a fair amount of time working on your cluster and we have prior consent.

The standard labor for clusters and large items is $69.99 plus return shipping (or the auction amount if lower)

The labor for small items and repairs valued between $10 and $50 is waived and you will only be charged for return shipping if you want the item back.

We are generally not able to repair an item is if someone else already attempted a repair and failed or if there is main board hardware or software damage, physical, internal electronic, or similar other damage.

If you do not want the item back, we will generally pay you the current core value for your item if it is an item we can use anything from before discarding it.

Audi Q5

Thu, 24 Apr 2008

Audi has chosen the Beijing Motor Show to unveil its new mid-sized Q5 SUV. The newcomer's exterior design is a thoroughly orthodox development of current Audi themes: a mix of Avant and Q7 ideas housed in a deeper body section than one is used to seeing. The rear relates most strongly to the Q7, with its full-width powered tailgate design, where the tail lamps open with the tailgate and auxiliary lamps in the bumper house the mandatory lamp functions.

NHTSA upgrades probe of 1.2 million Toyota Corollas, Matrixes

Federal regulators have upgraded an investigation of as many as 1.2 million Toyota Corollas for possible engine stalling. Consumers have filed 1,101 complaints about Corollas and Corolla Matrixes for 2005-07 models, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a filing on its Website. “The engine can stall at any speed without warning and not restart,” NHTSA said in describing the problem.

SMART ForTwo & SMART ForFour teased with what it’s NOT (Video)

Sun, 13 Jul 2014

The new SMART City Car will be a giant – apparently It’s a bit of a cliche, but we’re not entirely sure Germans should use humour to promote their products. But SMART seem to have decided the way to go to tease the upcoming 2015 models of the SMART ForTwo and SMART ForFour is to try and convince that they’ve decided a small City Car is wrong and what we really need is a giant City Car. So we get two videos purporting to show what the new SMART City Cars offer – basically a SMART the size of a lorry – and set about convincing us, and gullible members of the public on camera, that this is indeed the route they’re going for the new SMART.
