Repair SERVICE

Who are we?   Tanin Auto Electronix.  We are a small family business that specializes in everything related to automotive electronics.  This allows our prices to be the best out there, or at least try to be!  We pride ourselves in extremely fast turnaround when customers send us their items to repair, great prices, and happy customers.  Please call our office with any questions 262.456.4147

What is this item? This auction is for the backlight illumination repair for your W220 Mercedes gauge cluster.

What this auction does NOT cover?  Physical damage, missing parts, gauges that don't function correctly, broken dimming switch, broken odometer reset button, broken or dead fluorescent backlighting tubes (there are several in the cluster and they do not last forever).  Sometimes the repair included in the auction price does not fix the illumination problem.  If this is the case, we charge a base $49.99 diagnosis, inspection, and return shipping charge.  We can help you locate a replacement cluster.  We can also program correct mileage into your Mercedes gauge cluster.

What happens when you click "buy it now"?

1) Remove your cluster.  Generally you need to remove several screws and some trim pieces to access the cluster.  Some Mercedes W220 vehicles need special trim tools to remove the cluster. We can email you photos and step by step directions on removal if needed
2) PROPERLY package your cluster.  There should be at least 2 inches around each side of the cluster.  If you are unsure how to do this, take it to a UPS store or FedEx Office.
3) Ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.   Please insure the package to $300. This is the about the going rate for a used cluster in the event yours is damaged in shipping.
4) Your item is generally repaired the same day it is received and returned via FedEx Ground 1-5 day service

Ship the unit to:
Tanin Auto Electronix
7012 State Road 31, STE 100
Racine, WI 53402

Warranty?  We offer a one year warranty on the components that we replace. A nominal return shipping charge may apply.

World's first 360deg car camera

Mon, 15 Oct 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 15 October 2007 08:27 First Nissan brought us Birdview sat-nav giving us overhead, 3D mapping; now it's launching a parking camera that can see all around the car. Owlview anyone? Clearly Nissan has missed a trick here, as it's calling its new gadget the rather more sober Around View Monitor.

College Exhibition: Coventry University MA Degree Show 2005

Fri, 20 Jan 2006

Jan 20, 2006 - 'Fifteen' was the title for Coventry University's 13th MA Design Degree Show, held at Coventry's Transport Museum December 2-9. The title signified a recurring theme: 15 Automotive Design students, 15 months programme duration for the first time, "15 minutes of fame".     Graduates from the USA, India, China, Korea, Greece, Lebanon and the UK, made for a strong international flavour in the diversity of the final designs. 2005 was sponsor Corus' ninth year of involvement with the show, and the fifth year they have held a forum to coincide with the opening of the event.

Council’s Flood Excuses Don’t Hold Water - Poll

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

MEDIA interest might have died down but thousands are still dealing with the devastation caused by the recent flooding. Along with homeowners, motorists also battled rising water levels and deteriorating road conditions. However, according to a new survey of its members, the AA has said that as many as 68 percent of those polled said the extreme weather had contributed to poor road conditions but 67 percent blamed councils for not maintaining drains well enough.
