Video shows Audi R18 'long tail' e-tron quattro's blistering Monza run
Tue, 30 Apr 2013Audi has had a pretty solid run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans over the past decade, but we're glad they keep pushing the envelope. That's how they keep devising road-going spaceships like the staggeringly fast R18 e-tron quatto equipped with a “long tail” aerodynamic package. Peugeot 407 Coupe (2009) drops petrol engines
Fri, 10 Jul 2009By Richard Webber First Official Pictures 10 July 2009 09:40 Peugeot has dropped petrol engines altogether from its gawping 407 Coupé and will only be offering oil-burners in the revised range. The reworked 2.0-litre unit improves in economy and power, but the big news is a new 3.0-litre V6, which will be Peugeot’s most powerful production engine ever. The V6 unit was a joint development by PSA and Ford, and produces 241bhp and a hefty 331lb ft of torque between 1600 and 3600rpm.

The Tesla Roadster is a great achievement – if madly expensive for what it is (an electric Lotus) – and the work Koenigsegg are doing with the Quant is very exciting. But one company that is efficiently going about putting together a workable, high performance car is Fisker, who have been working on their electric saloon car – The Fisker Karma – for less than two years.
