Caterham sells F1 team
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Caterham The Caterham Formula 1 team has been sold to a consortium of Swiss and Middle-Eastern investors following a poor season so far in 2014. The team is currently bottom in the championship and Fernandes hinted of an exit last week, when he tweeted “F1 hasn't worked, but love Caterham Cars.” Graham Macdonald, Caterham Group CEO: “Firstly I want to thank everyone who was involved in the F1 team for all their hard work and dedication since the team’s first days in 2009.
2013 Range Rover deliveries start at JLR’s new Handover Centre
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The first UK deliveries of the 2013 Range Rover have taken place at Jaguar Land Rover’s all new Handover Centre in Solihull. The new JLR Handover centre is JLR’s answer to the experiences premium German marques offer buyers, with a new car collection becoming a real ‘event’ instead of just a bunch of keys and a quick chat at your local dealers. Buyers of new Land Rovers who are happy to cough up £1200 when they order their new car at their dealers can now take delivery at JLR’s all new high-tech building, standing at the Lode Lane entrance of JLR’s Solihull facility.
Toyota FT-86 and Subaru BRZ to launch next month
Fri, 21 Oct 2011Toyota FT-86 (pictured) & Subaru BRZ to debut at Tokyo The road from concept to reality has been a long one for the Toyota FT-86 and Subaru BRZ. But the wait is almost over for the Toyota/Subaru joint development, with production-ready versions of the FT-86 and BRZ planned for the Tokyo Motor Show next month. The aim was to produce a sporty, fun coupe for under £20k, and although that still seems to be the general consensus we wouldn’t be surprised to see the FT-86 come in at around £25k and the more powerful BRZ getting close to £30k when they actually arrive in 2012.
