Sci-fi Audi from Ender’s Game movie revealed
Fri, 09 Aug 2013It’s an Audi, Jim, but not as we know it – this sleek, ground-hugging machine is a four-ringed future mobile from the forthcoming blockbuster science-fiction movie, Ender’s Game. It’s called the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro, and – like the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band’s ‘Urban Spaceman’ – here comes the twist: it doesn’t actually exist. BMW 135is for the US only. But you can have much the same in the UK.
Wed, 16 May 2012BMW 135is - US only BMW is not taking the new M135i to the US but has instead announced the BMW 135is Coupe and Convertible for the US only. There must be logic to BMW’s decision to badge a new 1 Series M135i for the UK and Europe and then add a new model in the US – the 135is Coupe – that actually has more power but no ‘M’ moniker. But that logic does escape us.
Rare foreign cars head to Carlisle this weekend
Thu, 15 May 2014Every spring, Carlisle, Pa., (otherwise known as the Woodstock of the classic-car hobby, a title it now fully shares with Hershey) hosts a weekend event just for foreign cars. Last year, over 1,000 cars gathered in central Pennsylvania, with rare foreign machinery making its way from all over the lower 50 and parts of Canada. The longest-traveled cars we spotted last year wore British Columbia plates, which should give you a clue as to the event's following, though we're still unsure which cars we spent the longest time gawking at.
