Prodive’s David Richards looks at Honda F1
Sat, 27 Dec 2008It was a real surprise that Honda decided to pull out of F1 for 2009. True, they haven’t yet seen the sort of success that their efforts, and money, should have yielded, but they have a superb product and, more importantly, potentially one of the best set-ups in F1 led by the best of the best, Ross Braun, who was pretty much responsible for the renaissance at Ferrari and Michael Shumacher’s domination of the sport. But there could well be a light at the end of the tunnel for the Honda F1 Team.
Porsche Boxster (2012) first official pictures
Thu, 12 Jan 2012Porsche only pulled the covers off the new 911 Cabriolet at the 2012 Detroit motor show three days ago, but it’s already unveiling another convertible: the new Porsche Boxster. Faster, lighter, cleaner, more economical, and (most importantly) better looking than its predecessor, it will be officially revealed at the Geneva motor show in March, before going on sale in the UK on 28 April 2012. Let’s start with the new Porsche Boxster’s looks then… It’s still recognisably a Boxster, but the headlights are now more vertically stacked, the doors are scalloped to flow into the bigger side intakes, a strong crease runs between the tail lamps and integrates with the pop-up rear spoiler, and every line and angle is just a little bit sharper and more dynamic. The Porschephiles amongst you would have also spotted that the folding fabric roof no longer has a panel to drop behind; instead the roof itself now doubles as the cover when the hood is stowed.
Mitsubishi i MiEV Sport Air concept first pictures
Mon, 26 Jan 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 26 January 2009 12:29 Mitsubishi will unveil this i MiEV Sport Air concept at the 2009 Geneva motor show, alongside a new eco-version of the facelifted Colt supermini. You have, sort of, at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Salon. There it was merely the i MiEV Sport, and to be green Mitsubishi has just recycled that concept and given it a removable glass roof fitted with solar panels.
