2012 Mercedes A-Class: First Sketch
Tue, 15 Mar 2011Mercedes A-Class - First Sketch This may well be the first sketch of the 2012 Mercedes A-Class, but with the 2012 A-Class likely to surface at the Shanghai Motor Show next month it seems highly likely we’re in for a run of ‘leaked’ information on the new baby Mercedes. This sketch of the 2012 A-Class is supposed to have ‘leaked’ from Mercedes, but we rather sense the antics of Mercedes PR. Which is exactly what you’d expect with a major launch at a major motor show looming.
Alfa Romeo to launch 8 new cars in next 4 years – Alfa MiTo to be dropped
Fri, 09 May 2014The Alfa Romeo Gloria (pictured) could point to a new Giulia Alfa Romeo has been stuck in the doldrums for quite a while, and is now in the sorry state of having just two cars on sale – the Alfa MiTo and Alfa Giulietta – both compact cars and both with front wheel drive. Not really Alfas, although they’re better than you might expect. But in a brave plan to turn Alfa Romeo in to a proper force again – a plan we reported was on the cards a year ago – Sergio Marchionne has revealed that Alfa is planning to launch eight new cars in the next four years and concentrate on proper RWD cars with proper driver appeal.
Ferrari F70: First Photo
Mon, 03 Dec 2012We have what appears to be the first photo of the Enzo replacement - the Ferrari F70 – taken at a private viewing for Ferrari clients in China. Despite expectations that the new Ferrari F70 would be revealed before the end of 2012 – which is what Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo told us – we still haven’t had the reveal of the F70 in any form, and certainly not at the Los Angeles Auto show, where we expected Ferrari to debut their new hypercar as it’s the last motor show of note for 2012. It now looks like – short of a non-motor show reveal – that the new F70 will bow in at Detroit in January, but ahead of that it seems Ferrari are already showing the F70 to select clients.
