Sun, 18 Nov 2012The McLaren P1 supercar has been spotted out testing in Diss in Norfolk making a visit to a McLaren supplier. We got the public reveal of the McLaren P1 – the spiritual successor to the iconic McLaren F1 – at the Paris Motor Show in September, and the McLaren boys told us the car was 95 per cent of how the final P1 would look. Local authorities cashing in with CCTV fines
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Councils are turning to CCTV cameras and spy cars to raise £312m in revenue, that’s according to Traffic Spies, a report published by civil liberties group, Big Brother Watch. Using a series of freedom of information requests, the group has discovered that many councils are continuing to use CCTV to hand out fines, despite the government’s Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, which highlights the need to use CCTV for traffic offences “sparingly”.
