Editor Wes Raynal revealed the winners and presented Best of the Best trophies to representatives from the winning auto manufacturers. 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL: Autoweek Best of the Best/Truck "The GL's ride set it apart from the competition,” Raynal said.

Mon, 07 Apr 2014It's hardly surprising that our readers want to share their memories of the Ford Mustang -- 50 years is a long time for an automotive nameplate to endure, and the model's upcoming 50th anniversary is as good excuse as any to look back on the experiences that have made the car an enthusiast hit. Take William Drew, who had a close encounter with pony car history when he saw the Mustang I concept, plus a rare Ghia-bodied Shelby Cobra concept, at an auto dealer in Dallas in 1970. His slides (taken with a Yashica camera, he notes) show the unusual cars in the nice, bright colors of Kodachrome.
Porsche 918 Spyder finally debuts at Frankfurt motor show
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Porsche initiated the final act in its drawn-out 918 Spyder introduction, revealing the production version of the 214-mph gasoline-electric hybrid two-seater at the Frankfurt motor show. The car will be produced on a dedicated line at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory in Germany starting Sept. 12.
