At the end of 2011 Aston Martin boss Ulrich Bez let slip that a Roadster version of the V12 Vantage was on the way, and the expectation was it would arrive at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Jaguar Land Rover has announced it will invest £16.3 million into an ‘Advanced Powertrain Research Project’ – which could lead to an electric Evoque_e version of its small SUV. Jaguar Land Rover will work in conjunction with British technology company and race car manufacturer Zytek Automotive to develop new hybrid and battery-electric vehicle technology. New Denza EV brand to be launched by Daimler-BYD joint venture

Mercedes-Benz sources have confirmed that Daimler and BYD Auto's Chinese joint venture is set to launch Denza, a new zero-emissions brand. The first Denza will be unveiled at next month's Beijing motor show and is based on the underpinnings of the first-generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245. The car's design is believed to have been undertaken by Daimler's Advanced Design Center in Beijing, led by Olivier Boulay.
