We sell a a variety of different replacement socket or outlet caps. Folks send us pictures of their sockets and ask us if this or that cap will fit? It's hard to tell by looking at a picture. While all socket openings look similar there are slight (1-5mm) size variations so one cap does not fit all. If the cap is too small it will fit loosely in the opening and easily fall out. The cap plug should be slightly (1-2 mm) larger than the opening so it fits like a cork. We provide cap dimensions for most of our caps but the opening is hard to measure unless you have a vernier caliper. Also the retaining ring size varies from socket to socket. So here we are offering a variety of replacement or spare socket caps that fit most accessory / cigarette style lighter plug sockets. GT supercar designer leaving Ford
Thu, 15 Jan 2009Designer Camilo Pardo, credited with drawing the Ford GT supercar, is leaving the automaker after a 24-year career with the company. Pardo, 45, confirmed to AutoWeek that he is leaving Ford, but he declined to give details. He said final details of his departure have yet to be worked out.

The Inaugural Show - sponsored Ford Motor Company - exhibited projects completed in a course of a single semester (15 weeks) from sketch to model by six freshman students. The brief was to develop a vehicle concept that utilized Ford's small vehicle platform in order to address environmental issues while attracting new customers.
Ram heavy-duty pickup gets higher towing rating
Wed, 09 Jan 2013Ram has fired the latest salvo in the ongoing pickup war between the domestic automakers, releasing what the brand claims is now best-in-class towing capacity for its 2013 heavy-duty pickups. The 2013 Ram 3500 is rated to tow a 30,000-pound trailer, up from a maximum towing capacity of 22,750 pounds for the same vehicle and powertrain setup in 2012. According to their respective Web sites, similarly equipped heavy-duty 3500 pickups from General Motors are rated at a towing capacity of 23,100 pounds, while Ford's F-350 similarly equipped is rated at 22,800 pounds.
