2013 Land Rover Range Rover sheds weight with all-aluminum unibody

Land Rover publicly unveiled its redesigned 2013 Range Rover five-seat SUV in London on Thursday, with less weight and better fuel economy than its predecessors thanks in large part to a new all-aluminum unibody structure--the first of its kind in an SUV, according to Land Rover. Nissan to issue recall for faulty part in tire-pressure monitoring system

Nissan Motor Co. plans to recall as many as 143,000 cars to replace a tire-pressure monitoring system nut that may corrode and crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt, the government said today. The cracking of the nut in the monitoring system could cause it to fall out of the sensor-transmitter that it secures, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a report on its Web site.
