GIVEAWAY PRICE. You are bidding on one set of restored front wheel hubs for the 1963-1964 Corvette. Included are: NOS GM spindles, NOS GM steering arms, rebuilt correct original GM hubs, restored original GM backing plates, rebuilt original Delco (dated) brake wheel cylinders, and new repro grease caps. NOT included: lug nuts shown in photos. Hubs professionally built up with all Timken components. (Note: wheel cylinders may be on incorrect hubs and may have to be swapped around--just put them on quickly so as not to get lost). Local pickup only, or alternatively I will deliver to nearest Fedex for packaging and shipment at purchaser's expense. See photos for condition. Mon, 27 Feb 2012Just because Daimler shut down Maybach in November doesn't mean that the marque won't still fetch top dollar on the open market. But, if buyers want something with a little more flair and a little less Grey Poupon, they can head to the Phillips de Pury & Co. auction in New York to pick one up that was used in the Jay-Z and Kanye West video for the song “Otis.” The Maybach 57 with a pedigree is expected to go for about $125,000, a third of what one costs new.

Thu, 19 Dec 2013Mercedes S-Class production increased We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms. Mercedes has revealed it’s having to increase production at its plant in Sindelfingen by prolonging shifts by 74 minutes (after increasing them by 30 minutes earlier this year) in order to churn out enough S-Class cars to meet strong demand. But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production at Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.
