Up for auction is a restored a/c unit for 1968-1972 GM A-bodies such as the Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo, Skylark, Cutlass, 442, Lemans, and GTO. The unit was completely disassembled and all parts were gone through. The housing was bead blasted and clear coated to give it's original look again. It has a new evaporator and blower motor( a $300 value. Will include a new relay also, if applicable). The poa valve was rebuilt and replated. New schrader valves were also installed. It can be calibrated to 134A or R12. The expansion valve was rebuilt and replated as well. The squirrel cage was reconditioned. The resistor and ambient temp sensor were all bench tested and reconditioned. New o-rings were installed as well as new screws, cork tape and gum cord to help seal the unit. Hold-down clips were also replated. As you can see, this a very nice looking unit that would compliment anything from a driver to show cars. There are a few differences between the years and models. I can make it correct for your particular car. If you have any questions what so ever, do not hesitate to ask. Top Gear Tonight: Burma Road Trip part 2

Sun, 16 Mar 2014

Top Gear continues its Road Trip across Burma tonight In best Top Gear tradition, series 21 ended up just five episodes long, with last weeks episode being the first part of the Top Gear Christmas Special road trip through Burma. Tonight’s Top Gear – which you can think of as episode 7 of series 21 – is part two of the much delayed 2013 Christmas Special with the boys picking up where they left off last week, heading through Burma on the way to Thailand and the River Kwai. Having got to grips with their less than cutting edge lorries and suffered the Burmese equivalent of truckers’ overnight truck stops, Clarkson, May and Hammond are now heading further in to uncharted territory – certainly for Western Media – as they head towards Thailand and the River Kwai.

Tue, 08 Jun 2010

Once upon a time there was a small boy, about seven years old, who had taken an interest in cars at a rather early stage, mainly thanks to his old man, who was (and, thankfully, still is) a car enthusiast and, back in those days, a staunch supporter of a certain Southern German marque. This naturally meant that the small boy would sometimes be a bit annoyed by his father's occasionally overbearing passion, but at the same time usually knit his eyebrows himself whenever he came across something sporting four wheels but no blue & white propeller (which, he believed, was the way things were supposed to be). So the foundations had been laid to turn this very young chap into a proper petrolhead one day, but his interest remained relatively casual and moderate until that one fateful evening.
