Ann Arbor Sportscar is pleased to offer  a restored convertible top frame header rail for all 1964 – 1980 Austin Healey Sprite, MG Midget and Midget 1500 models with wind-up windows.  The steel header rail was sandblasted to bare metal, primed and then finished in a black semi-gloss enamel.  There are a couple of dimples on the one end, but they will not be visible once the new convertible top material is installed.  There is also considerable residual rust pitting on the top surface of the header rail from the sand-blasting process.  The current cost of the reproduction header rail in Moss Motors’ parts catalog is about $320.00.  Please look carefully at all the photos.  We will ship this internationally.  Please e-mail us if you have any questions.

Opel Trixx concept for the Geneva Motor Show

Opel/Vauxhall has released first details of the Trixx small car concept to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Martin Smith, Opel/Vauxhall executive director of design, says: "Trixx shows our vision of an innovative, ultra-compact car in the three-metre-class, with an expressive, exciting design, and meets a variety of mobility requirements with its clever, highly versatile interior concept." Trixx has an inflatable rear seat, sliding electric doors, and a push-button roof hatch that allows it to carry extra-long objects upright. The versatile car can carry up to three adults and a child, and as a one-seater it turns into a substantial load carrier.

Pitures of what appears to be the 2011 US Spec Fiesta have leaked ahead of launch Ford have played a long game with the introduction to the US market of Europe’s favourite small car – the Ford Fiesta. They’ve run a very savvy social media campaign and had a whole heap of Fiestas running round the US in the hands of bloggers and other social media types – The Fiesta Movement – to get coverage for the Fiesta ahead of its launch at the LA Auto Show this week. But it looks like Ford in Canada have jumped the gun this afternoon and let loose pictures of the US spec Fiesta before its official reveal.

The mastermind behind the F1 supercar left McLaren Cars a couple of years ago, and has now secured the funding to set up on his own. Gordon Murray Design Limited – a design, prototyping and development company – will be launched on 4 July.
