Irving, Texas, United States
Up for auction is a restored a/c unit for 67-69 Firebird, 67-69 big block Camaro and 68-74 big block Nova. The unit was completely disassembled and all parts were gone through. The housing was bead blasted and clear coated to give it's original look again. It has a new evaporator and blower motor( a $300 value. Will include a new relay also, if applicable). The poa valve was rebuilt and replated. It can be calibrated to 134A or R12. The expansion valve was rebuilt and replated as well. The squirrel cage was reconditioned. The resistor and ambient temp sensor were all bench tested, with the resistor also being replated. New o-rings were installed as well as new screws, rivets, cork tape and gum cord to help seal the unit. As you can see, this a very nice looking unit that would compliment anything from a driver to show cars. There are a few differences between the years and models. If you have any questions what so ever, do not hesitate to ask. Also, if interested, please contact me for shipping price as the ebay calculator has not been accurate.

Car collector and artist makes you look twice
Mon, 20 Aug 2012As with most artists, Louis Carvell simply sees the world differently than others, and his passion for cars and car collecting led him to create a thought-provoking (and clever) body of work he entitled: “Reincarnations: Car Parts ReBorn.” The photographic collages are of spare vintage-automobile parts inspired by, “the dream cars of the Eisenhower era,” Carvell said. “These pieces are art in and of itself. Initially, I photographed them [alone] against white, seamless.” Eventually, Carvell decided to expand and refine his concept and place the parts into surrealist tableaux, to give one pause to consider these objects outside their defined roles.
NADA asks U.S. to suspend clunkers program
Thu, 20 Aug 2009National Automobile Dealers Association officials asked the government to suspend the cash-for-clunkers program because a survey by the group found that the $3 billion fund has been exhausted, NADA Chairman John McEleney said. "We asked them to put a halt to the program--I think we said 'very soon'--but a suspension at midnight tonight would make sense," McEleney said in an interview Wednesday. "Our survey opened the eyes of the Transportation Department." A suspension would allow dealers to submit all pending claims and permit the government to process them so that a precise determination could be made of how much money, if any, is left in the program, he said.
GM's Henderson: Corvette's future is secure
Wed, 06 May 2009The future of the Chevrolet Corvette is secure, General Motors CEO Fritz Henderson says, even as GM dramatically slashes its size and costs. In an exclusive interview with AutoWeek, Henderson says that not only is the Corvette's current platform undergoing continual development, but the future seventh-generation car, dubbed the C7, also is on track. He would not specify when the C7 Vette would hit showrooms.
