 Up for sale is one restored, one year only, 1970 E-Body floor shift steering column for 70 Cuda, Barracuda and Challengers. This is correct for 70 only. It has the Interlock/lockout mechanism. It will fit cars equipped with floor shift manual transmissions and floor shift automatics. It is set up for power steering. You would receive the actual column seen here in the pictures.

The column has been completely disassembled, stripped, inspected for worn out parts and damage, including checking to make sure the main shaft is the correct length and is straight. All of the black parts have been powder coated, as well as the main shaft, interlock tube and the coupler, then reassembled with;
New upper bearing, (aircraft quality, completely sealed)
New lower interlock tube bushing/retainer.
New ignition switch.
New turn signal switch.
New Ignition lock with keys and a set of Pentastar key blanks.
New coupler rebuild kit.
New correct black coupler gasket.

This also includes the crush can w/ horn contact and original steering wheel nuts, optional key light, standard key buzzer switch, original lock nut & washer, Interlock linkage grommet and bushing.

The black coating does have a slight texture to it. I have tried several different powders and this is the closest the coating company can get to the factory suede finish in powder. The original suede was a lacquer finish. The coating is far more durable than regular paint! I have sold these columns at the Mopar Nationals, Monster Mopar meet and other Mopar shows. Everyone who has looked at and/or purchased a column has been very happy with the finish. The first picture below was taken at one of the Monster Mopar shows.

This is being sold outright with no core charge or exchange. Please ask any questions you may have before buying.

I try to be very thorough when rebuilding these columns however, please keep in mind the core parts are forty plus years old. I have a refund or exchange policy and will do my best to resolve issues within reason that may arise.

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 16 October 2008 11:22 Electric car start-up Tesla is restructuring its US operation and laying off around 100 staff, as the credit crunch continues to make life difficult for car companies big and small. It’s now on its fourth CEO in 12 months, as founder Elon Musk takes over from Ze’ev Drori. In an announcement on the chief exec’s blog, Tesla Motors said it would be ‘cash-flow positive’ within six to nine months – but only by increasing production and cutting operating costs.

Pininfarina could produce Sergio concept

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Pininfarina may produce a few examples of the Sergio concept we saw at the Geneva motor show for a few well-heeled buyers with about $3.9 million in liquid assets. “We are considering a very limited run of five to six units," Pininfarina CEO Silvio Angori told Automotive News Europe. The Sergio is based on the Ferrari 458 Italia, and uses the same drivetrain including the 562-hp V8 and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
