This is a complete, original Carter fuel filter assembly with NOS ceramic element and NOS glass bowl. The top of the filter was glassbeaded and repainted Carter black as used on the early Carter fuel filter. The NOS ceramic element and the NOS glass bowl both have the Carter "C" raised in the bottom. Raised in the top casting is "Carter Fuel Filter.....Made in USA....." and the US patent number. The OUT port on the filter has a 1/8" NPT to which a brass fuel line fitting was added for a fuel line. The IN port was factory machined in the cast iron top with a seat for a fuel line connection. Perfect for replacing a missing or damaged filter with a vintage Carter filter.
