QUAD4 Four-channel Power Amplifier The RetroSound® Quad4 is a full-range Class D (digital) power amplifier that plugs directly into any RetroSound® radio. Featuring 45 watts x 4 RMS power, the Quad4 offers exceptional dynamic range and low distortion for the best possible sound reproduction from your RetroSound® audio system. Low level RCA inputs also allow the Quad4 to be used with any aftermarket car stereo system. The Quad4 has a built-in high pass/full range crossover, and its diminutive size (7 1/4 x 3 x 1 3/4 inches / 179 x 71 x 44mm) means you can install it virtually anywhere, including behind the dash.
Exile Battery Keeper The Exile Battery Keeper charger/maintainer is perfect for anyone who doesn't drive their vehicle every day. This is much more than a battery charger; the EX-1 keeps your battery in peak shape by providing a conditioning charge any time voltage begins to dip. This "pulse charge" maintains the battery without over-charging or "gassing" the battery, which leads to much longer battery life. This special package includes an LED battery status indicator, so you will always know your battery's state of charge. The EX-1 is water-proof and dust proof, so it can be permanently mounted in the vehicle next to the battery compartment. With the EX-1, you will always have the peace of mind of knowing your classic vehicle's battery is ready when you are.

Californians won't have to wait much longer to take their Chevrolet Volts in high-occupancy vehicle lanes. General Motors began shipping a special version of the range-extended sedan to the state this week. The cars will arrive with a special Low Emissions package that makes it legal to drive them in the Golden State's carpool lanes.

Motor Shows

Taking the metro to the Frankfurt motor show, I was surrounded by men whose grey suits, lapel badges and reading matter made it obvious they were car company execs heading the same way. In previous years they probably had access to the fleets of chauffeur-driven cars that used to clog the town as they shuttled from airport to exhibition hall to hotel. But Frankfurt, like every other motor show, finds itself in reduced circumstances this year. The Paris and Frankurt shows alternate, and the comparison with Paris this time last year is instructive.

As with so many supercar companies, Lamborghini was the vision of one man: Ferruccio Lamborghini. He founded it in 1962 after a successful career making tractors. The Sant'Agata Bolognese birthplace remains the company's home – and it has produced some of the greatest and most outrageous supercars of all time, giving this company equal rights with Ferrari to claim to be the world's best loved supercar brand.
