Daimler AG will decide the fate of Maybach by July 1. The two options: Kill the slow-selling superluxury sedan or partner with British carmaker Aston Martin on a second-generation car. At a Daimler event in Stuttgart, Germany, last week, CEO Dieter Zetsche said "there is a higher likelihood to come to a positive decision" for a second-generation Maybach if a partner is involved.

Paper tax discs will soon be scrapped forever, but a survey of drivers has found that a half are clueless about the new rules. The survey, of more than 1,000 people, suggests that the DVLA has failed to efficiently inform motorists of the changes – despite them coming in from the 1 October 2014. Range Rover Evoque Sport - back in the news The Range Rover Evoque Sport is back in the news after Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern hinted at it in Beijing. Last year we reported that a Range Rover Evoque Sport is planned after David Mitchell, Land Rover’s Evoque program director, confessed he was driving an Evoque with the 2.0 litre Ecoboost petrol engine turned up to 300bhp. Even if David Mitchell hadn’t confessed his pimped ride it would still have been a very sensible assumption that Land Rover would add a Range Rover Evoque Sport to the range at some point.
