Fresh from its world debut at the 2012 Geneva motor show, Ferrari has issued this video of the new F12 Berlinetta supercar to whet our appetite for what the 599 successor sounds like. The new F12 Berlinetta is an extraordinary car on paper: its 6.2-litre V12 packs 730bhp and 509lb ft – all of which you'll hear deployed in this official Ferrari video. CAR will get to drive the car over the coming months, but for now you'll have to watch this video of the car demonstrating its 3.1 second 0-62mph capability.

It's the first new Lotus for 13 years and a pretty significant launch, due for its show debut at the 2008 London motor show later this month on 22 July 2008. That's when we’ll find out the name of this new Lotus – codenamed Eagle – but in the meantime the company is teasing us with some new details.

Jaguar's continuing commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the iconic E-type shined in the Big Apple last week, with a celebration of the car's 1961 premiere at the New York auto show. AutoWeek associate publisher Dutch Mandel, himself an E-type owner, attended the anniversary party and gives us some perspective on the car's importance to enthusiasts in this video montage.
