College Exhibition: Art Center Summer Show 2011 - Non-thesis work

Art Center College of Design held its annual Summer Degree show at its campus in Pasadena, California on the eve of the Pebble Beach weekend of events. Besides their main crux of thesis projects, nine graduating students in the acclaimed Transportation Design course showcased some of the designs they worked on during their internships and in previous years. Fiat and Chrysler get in to bed together

Before Christmas the CEO of Fiat was reported as saying that he believed that the current malaise in the car market (and any other market, for that matter) would result in the rationalisation of the industry, and see just a handful of big players come out the other side. His words now seem prescient, as it has been announced today that Fiat and Chrysler have effectively entered in to a partnership. Fiat takes a 35% stake in Chrysler The partnership, with Fiat taking 35% of Chrysler, means a number of benefits for both companies.

College Exhibition: Umea Institute of Design Degree Show 2007

Masters students at Umea University Institute of Design exhibited their final projects in at their annual Degree Exhibition in early June. This year, a record 45 students exhibited their work, including 13 from MA Transportation Design, 8 from MA Advanced Product Design, 10 from MA Interaction Design and a further 14 from the BA Industrial Design course. This year's MA Transportation Design programme was led by Lasse Pettersson, with Nick Coughlan as external tutor.
