The Aston Martin Lagonda name has been resurrected again, but this iteration promises to be far less controversial than the 2009 SUV concept. Created for a select group of Middle Eastern clients, this large three-box sedan (dimensions haven't yet been made available) offers a well-judged balance between the current Aston Martin range and the idiosyncratic 1970s Lagonda by William Towns. Its proportions are very extreme for a luxury sedan, with a cabin sat far rearwards behind a very shallow A-pillar.

Mercedes are continuing some innovative marketing for the new A Class with the #YOUDRIVE campaign launching during X Factor. That must have worked to a degree – certainly as far as the Twitter aspect goes – as Mercedes is having another outing with another hashtag – #YouDrive – and a new marketing campaign for the A Class where viewers ’control’ the advert they’re seeing. Caterham Superlight R600 debuts for 2013 race series

Filed under: “Too cool for the United States.” Caterham launched the fastest Seven in company history for its exclusive race series, the Superlight R600 Championship. The latest Seven is powered by a supercharged 2-liter Ford Duratec engine that churns out 275 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. That power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox and a Titan limited-slip differential.
