Control your rig and sail plan more accurately with a low-stretch, high-performance wire strand. Compacted Wire Rigging has 30% greater breaking strength and 25% less stretch than conventional wire strand. This means you can use a smaller diameter wire and achieve the same strength, saving weight and reducing windage. Constructed of smooth stainless steel wires specially shaped so that each strand fills a greater portion of the cross-sectional area of the rod, providing more resistance to elastic stretch and reducing aerodynamic drag. It has the corrosion resistance of 316S31 stainless. Approved for use with conventional swage and swageless fittings.

Ok so it's no longer a super saloon but a hyper five-door hatch, which means Subaru has jumped straight into the ring with VW (Golf), Audi (S3) and Ford (ST) and many others.
