Lexus at the London motor show 2008
Wed, 23 Jul 2008By Ben Whitworth and CAR reader reporter Carcare Motor Shows 23 July 2008 16:40 There was a performance bent on the Lexus stand, proving that Toyota's upmarket premium brand is keen to shed its image as a purveyor of steady-Eddy, high-luxury but low-on-thrills cars. What’s new on Lexus’s London motor show stand? The seen-it-before LF-A and the on-sale-now hotshoe IS-F – as well as its full line-up of hybrid models. Ferrari FF gets 875bhp with E85 conversion
Fri, 13 Jan 2012Ferrari FF E85 conversion gets 875bhp If the performance of the Ferrari FF with 650bhp isn’t enough for you, how about a bio-ethanol (E85) conversion with 875bhp? Despite Ferrari anoraks claiming the Ferrari FF isn’t a real Ferrari, we think it’s stunning. With a glorious V12 producing 650bhp, 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, room for four – and their luggage – and a go-anywhere 4WD system, we think it’s a masterpiece.
Video: How DGT Architects created Renault's Paris show stand
Mon, 29 Oct 2012The creators of the Renault stand at this year's Paris motor show have released a video explaining how they created one of the most popular show stands in recent years. The DGT Architects-designed Renault stand – named ‘The Bump' – was one of the stars of the show this year with its curves and lighting drawing praise and attracting admirers from across the event. A total of 388 large squashed light globes that softly glowed a variety of colors were hung from the ceiling and simulated the movements of waves as they illuminated the stand below. To convey a sense of motion to the cars underneath, DGT used the movement of the lights and the creation of two hills.
