Police seize 700 stolen car badges
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Police have seized over 700 badges believed to have been stolen from cars in the Coventry area. 49-year-old badge thief Maxine-Ann Sokil was caught out when a potential buyer recognised a badge from Coventry Transport Museum on eBay. Tue, 15 Jul 2014The Range Rover (pictured) and Range Rover Sport updated The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport both seem like ‘new’ Range Rovers, but that’s not stopping Land Rover from updating both models for 2015. Under the bonnet, the SDV8 gets tweaked to deliver an extra 29lb/ft of torque – now with 545lb/ft – and a fuller torque curve between 1700 and 3300rpm. The effect of that extra torque is an improvement of 6.5 per cent in in-gear acceleration from fifth to eighth gear and better towing ability.
Speading plea as fines quadruple
Wed, 11 Jun 2014A MOTHER whose two-year-old son was one of eight people who died in a horrific road crash has spoken of the need for motorists to "break the habit of speeding to prevent more needless deaths". Tracey Mohabir's comments came as the Government announced a four-fold increase in fines available to magistrates, meaning motorway speeders could be forced to pay up to £10,000. Mrs Mohabir's son Marcus was travelling with his father Steve and two friends, Toby and Kate Beasley, when their Land Rover was hit by a speeding BMW which crashed through the central reservation on the A23 near Pycombe, Sussex, on May 16 2004.
