Teen driving: Can computers teach us to drive?

Can technology help us do a better job of training novice drivers? Note the term "novice," which is coming to replace "teen" as the focus of national concern about inexperienced drivers. This stems in part from graduated driver licensing (GDL) laws that have pushed up the age of new drivers and is partially a reflection of recent studies showing that it's not just newly licensed drivers, but all inexperienced drivers younger than 25 who are at higher risk of death or injury in car crashes.

While the first video presented the projects envisaged by the 10 student teams following the initial brief supplied by Peugeot and the second episode brought us into the sketching phase undertaken by the 30 students, this third video outlines the different scenarios illustrated by each student group and takes into account social objectives, space constraints and environmental issues that will influence consumers of the future. Hennessey tunes C7 Corvette Stingray

Hennessey Performance and its gang of Texas tuners are planning upgrades for the 2014 Chevrolet Stingray Corvette before the car even hits the market. We're sure Corvette engineers working on the next ZR1 are taking notice, presumably with a chip on their collective shoulders. In October, the Hennessey HPE700 Corvette is expected to debut packing a claimed 700 hp, with help from an Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger.
