Ford Escort set for Beijing motor show debut
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Ford is set to unveil a production version of the Escort sedan at the China auto show this month in Beijing, meant exclusively for the Chinese market. The Escort was previewed in near-production concept form last year at the Shanghai motor show, and is meant to take on competitors positioned just above the Ford Focus sedan. Even though the Ford Escort has been absent from the automaker's global lineup since 2000, Ford of China is reviving the nameplate for this sub-Fusion/Mondeo model which will compete with cars such as the Volkswagen Sagitar and Chevrolet Cruze in the Chinese market.
New Mercedes GL (2012/2013) arrives ahead of New York debut
Mon, 02 Apr 2012New Mercedes GL (2012/2013) The refreshed Mercedes GL – the big brother to the M Class – has arrived ahead of its debut at the New York Auto Show. The new Mercedes GL wasn’tĀ supposedĀ to surface quite yet, but the Interwebs being what they are the first set of photos of the refreshed GL are already doing the rounds. What we get is a much less stolid GL than the current model with a new nose and a look that says ‘M Class Big Brother’, which as the GL is based on an extended M Class platform should be no surprise.
