Thu, 02 Jul 2009Alfa Romeo are running the Alfa 8C Spider up the Hillclimb at Goodwood The Alfa Romeo 8C Spider is the convertible version of the limited run Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, and features a 4.7 litre V8 producing 450bhp. In truth the coupe version looked a lot better than it drove but, being an Alfa, its looks redeemed it. And the 8C Spider is a cracking looking car.

Mon, 26 Feb 2007In conjunction with Pininfarina Deutschland and VDC Fellbach, the Society for the Advancement of Architecture, Engineering and Design in Stuttgart (AED) awarded prizes to up-and-coming young designers as part of a competition that made its debut last year. The Pininfarina Student Award represents a platform intended to make entering professional life easier by offering internships at prominent design companies for successful entrants. In 2006 the Pininfarina prize was awarded in the following categories: - Building Design (Architecture & Engineering) - Transportation Design (Cars and Vehicles) - Industrial Design (Industry and Product Design) All students and graduates at schools in Germany who were not older than 28 at the time of submission could participate.
RCA Tata 'Space' project
Mon, 28 Mar 2011First year students at the Royal College of Art in London, UK, presented their interpretations of a small Tata that boasted internationally appealing Indian character. Following on from the Indica and Nano small cars, the project aimed to call out existing typologies for the brand and create an innovative and internationally relevant product. The brief also aimed to build on – and assist – Tata's fast-track development to be a leading small car global brand by building on the brand's extensive portfolio beyond the automotive sector.
