Danger from driving with flu
Fri, 28 Feb 2014DRIVING while suffering from the flu can put motorists at risk as many are unaware that many cold and flu remedies contain alcohol and can have serious side effects. Two thirds of drivers (64%) say they have driven after taking medication to treat a heavy cold or flu and 13% say they have experienced side effects when driving. The study by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) says drivers are risking drowsiness and reduced levels of concentration when under using these drugs.

Wed, 26 Nov 2008Poor old Richard Hammond. First he gets nearly killed playing silly-buggers with a mad rocket car, and now the poor man has nowhere to keep his own cars. Like Clarkson, Top Gear presenter Hammond lives in the sticks, in his case in rural Herefordshire close to the Welsh border, and about 50 miles from his co-presenter.
Day 2 at the International CES
Wed, 09 Jan 2013If you have never seen a 110-inch, ultra-high-definition TV screen, where every molecule of digital delirium dances across the screen in pulses of pixelated promiscuity, well, you're really missing out. Samsung had one such monster screen at the corner of its booth, sporting 4000 pixels per square inch and the techno geeks swooned in front of it like the truly faithful in the front row of a Celine Dion concert at Caesars Palace. For our part, we sat transfixed before it more like the monkeys in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
