Lotus and Daniel Simon collaborate on C-01 hyperbike project

Lotus has announced the impending launch of its first motorcycle, the C-01, penned by automotive designer and futurist Daniel Simon. The C-01, previewed on the left, will be a hyperbike with integrated racing technology made from materials such as carbon, titanium and aerospace quality steel, and will be powered by a 200hp engine. It is designed to reflect a combination of lifestyle, design and high-end technology.

Fiat 500X teaser video ahead of 2014 Paris motor show

Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. From which you would conclude, quite rightly, that this is a cosmetc ‘Sports’ job, not a power one. So you get some upgraded Graphite-coloured alloys (16″ on the 1.4 litre and 17″ on bigger engined variants), colour-coded bumpers, front fogs, Type R style mesh grill and dark chrome door handles and fuel cap.
